Do Not Worry Good Or Bad You Are Doing What You Are Suppose To. Below Is The Rambling That Goes With That
Each moment is the actualization of the destiny of said moment there by proving it out as such. Another way to convey the same idea would be; what is now, is what was to be, what was, is the evidence for such. However, put in the simplest terms “what will be, will be”. I am going to try to give an understanding of what that means and how I came to that conclusion. I personally do not believe in signs from enlighten and/or divine beings, just the signs we sometimes give ourselves, consciously or subconsciously. Nor do I believe we are guided, divine or otherwise, in my eyes, existence just is and each moment and all events contained there within said moment have always been coming as time progresses to the point where that moment becomes the past, just the same as “the now” progresses further and further away from what just was. How we experience time is as a constant and its progression is always forward with the past an infinitely short moment ago. The only thing that could halt this is if time itself stopped forever. We cannot go back and change the past, with that, I say the future is equally unchanging as the past.
It is said the future is nothing but potential. However potential is not the actual, if you could list all potentials for a given moment, it does not change the fact that only one can occur at a given moment. Regardless of its predictability, randomness, or you feel you have guided it etcetera, the future of course is not proven until it is the past, but in doing so it has proved itself the actual to which the potential is irrelevant, and it is just the same before as it is after, potential is irrelevant to the actual. There is a demonstration, in regards to a box of which you cannot see the contents; the demonstration is about potential, the potential of what is in the box. I have always seen this demonstration as pointless philosophy because no matter what the potential, if you could open the box what you would see is what was in it all along and again potential is irrelevant to that. It just proves what I believe; speculative potential is not the actual and in the end (figuratively speaking), the actual is all that matters. I talk of potential because so often it is spoken of as if it is the future and people say things like “the future is wide open and full of potential”. It is not full of potential, it is full of the actual, while potential can only be spoke of before and lacks relevance in the actual, the actual is always relevant. Just to reiterate the concept, the actual cannot change before, any more than it can change after. Just a little side note; I have always thought of time as being like a wave that comes into existence only while we are in that infinitely short moment and collapses back out of existence once you have passed over it, in other words time only exists for a endlessly progressing, infinitely short moment.
Here is a simple and incomplete declaration of the consequences of destiny, but it will do; if it is hard, then it was to be hard, if it is easy, then it was to be easy, if it is bad, then it was to be bad, if it is good, then it was to be good. If you say you know you will get there then you are right, if you say you are not sure how to get there then you are right, what ever you want to believe about getting there, you are right, because you can believe and do what you will and you will still get there. However, “there” may not be the place you thought you were going, but just the same, it is where you are suppose to be. While each moment is its own destiny, time is endlessly moving towards what comes after. No matter the wishful notions of writers, the philosophical or scientist, there is no physical way for us to change times constant forward progression. Given that, there is always something after now, after then, after succeeding, after failing, after today, after tomorrow, after the after and on and on unless time stops forever. So for each of us there is no end to destiny until you die, and that of course is letting go of the destiny of your corpse and every speck of the most minuscule part of it.
Sometimes when something is beginning to make me feel stressed, I think of things this way; If you worry less about how you got there, such as in not worrying about the past because it is said and done, then worry less about how you are going to get there, because in its time, it too will be the past as well, and as I said before “the past is an infinitely short moment ago”. If yesterday does not stress you, then ten seconds ago should not stress you, they are both the past. I am not trying to say just go where the wind blows you, nor am I saying do not make plans or work towards a goal etcetera. What you do is up to you (of course that is letting go of the fact that each moment is its own destiny and anything you do is the actualization of that); I refer mainly to the feelings of anxiety about such.
It is hard to keep these things in mind when we are in the midst of our daily interactions with our existence, because each moment demands us to placate it to occupy our existence in it, every moment demands something, even when you seem to be doing nothing at all. This of course is the same for everyone, for those with you now, those that were with you, those that will be with you in the future and those you will never know. Forgive destiny for what you believe has or will harm you; the events, the things and the people that it brings in and out of your life, these are just what have always been “to be” yours, in their time. Even if life denies you what you want, and gives you what you do not want or turns you in a direction, you do not want to go, do not be so concerned that your optimism cannot prevail. Just do what you believe you have to do; it will get you to where you should be at any given moment, which is all you really can do. So if you can, in the words of Bobby McFerrin’s song, “don’t worry, be happy”.
Obsidious
[Addendum: July 17, 2009]
On the subject of theoretical science (not to be confused with a "scientific theory" such as the theory of gravity) as it relates to this subject; it is no better than imagining walking through an impenetrable wall, you can visualize it happening, calculate the trajectory and velocity or measure it in any way you like, but that will not get you through the wall, in this case the "impenetrable wall" is reversing time. As I said before I believe time as being like a wave that comes into existence only while we are in that infinitely short moment and collapses back out of existence once you have passed over it, once it does that (move forward) that point no longer exists and is not a place to go, but to only remember.
